Frequently Asked Questions
?? What is the difference in Equine Omega Complete and other soy oils available on the market?
Equine Omega Complete is not just another omega-3 supplement. Our oil is a patented formulation that provides an optimum balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Equine Omega Complete is made from expeller pressed soy oil that is not chemically extracted like a vast majority of other soy oil products on the market. It contains no artificial flavoring or chemical residues.
?? How do I feed my horse Equine Omega Complete and what is the serving size?
Equine Omega Complete can be top-dressed over grain or directly over your horse’s hay. We recommend a daily maintenance dose of 4 ounces for a 1,200 pound horse (1 ounce for every 300 pounds) to be given in one sitting or split into two servings of 2 ounces twice daily. Equine Omega Complete has a loading dose of 4 ounces twice a day for 10 days. Maintenance dose is 4 ounces or 4 pumps a day. Traveling or competing dose is 6 to 8 ounces a day. If you have any questions regarding dosing, please call or email us.
?? Can I save money using Equine Omega Complete?
Yes, supplementing with Equine Omega Complete may provide a means to eliminate other supplements from your horse’s diet. Fat supplementation with Equine Omega Complete has numerous benefits for your horse’s health, possibly reducing the need for additional supplementation.
?? Is Equine Omega Complete better than the Omega 3 fish oils on the market?
Equine Omega Complete has approximately 50% more Omega 3 than fish oil alone. Equine Omega Complete has all three chains of Omega 3, where fish oil has only two. In addition, the high unsaturated fat, vitamin E content, and other essential nutrients in Equine Omega Complete greatly enhance the efficiency and absorption of our Omega 3.
?? Should Equine Omega Complete be refrigerated?
It is not necessary, but storing in a cool, dry area, away from sunlight, is recommended.
?? Is Equine Omega Complete safe to use with other supplements and medications?
Equine Omega Complete is all-natural and completely safe to feed in conjunction with medications
and other supplements.
?? Can I compete on Equine Omega Complete?
Equine Omega Complete is a completely natural formula, accepted by all equine organizations. Dosage can be increased prior to travel and competition. Increase should be gradual and over a period of one to two weeks. Add one ounce at a time every two to three days. Maximum dosage should not exceed 8 ounces daily.
